A Message from Our Principal

It is that time of year again, and AIMS testing is right around the corner. We want all students to know the importance of trying their best on these tests. Testing is April 15-19, 2013. We encourage parents to make sure that their child(ren) are here on time the entire week. Please do not schedule medical appointments during this week. Although we will allow students who miss the testing to make up their test, it is not an ideal situation for the students.

Here are a few tips to help ensure your child is ready to do his/her best on the AIMS Test:

  • Get plenty of rest during the week.
  • Eat a good breakfast before the testing session.
  • Bring a healthy snack. We will provide "refueling" breaks during the testing sessions. Healthy snacks include fruit, crackers and cheese, and nuts. We do not allow chips, soda, or candy.
  • Be on time to school. Students who are on time perform better.
  • We will not permit cell phones and electronic devices during AIMS testing. Students found with these devices will have their AIMS test invalidated. Please make sure your child leaves these items at home.

If you have any questions about AIMS week please don’t hesitate to call the school at (480) 677-4400.

Sincerely,

Denise E. Taylor, Principal
